Meadowbrook U.S. Cellular Pavilion - The
Meadowbrook U.S. Cellular Pavilion, once
known as Meadowbrook Farm, has always been a
place of peace, of geographic beauty, a
place that seems to beckon to the traveler
to stop, to enjoy, and to stay and make
wonderful memories. Spanning over two
centuries, Meadowbrook Farm was owned by the
Miller Family, who used the land for summer
vacations, weekend excursions, and a place
for family entertainment. As time went on,
the land began to develop and in the early
1900’s cottages began to appear upon the
Meadowbrook property. The Miller Family
would hold family concerts, where each
member of the family played an instrument.
As the years went on, the land changed and
soon the ownership of the land was passed
on. The Miller Family still owns property
next door to Meadowbrook, always believing
that the land would be best suited for a
park for anyone to use. Today Meadowbrook
Musical Arts Center has taken the concert
ideals of the Miller Family and evolved the
land into a concert venue suited for
world-class talent in a beautiful, friendly
atmosphere with a variety of music genres
sounding from its speakers. |

Storyland
- The history of Story Land is less about
the singular history of one family or one
business, and more about the multitudes of
personal histories that live in the memories
of thousands of families and tens of
thousands of people from all over the world.
It endures in the hearts and minds of
children who grow up hearing and reading
about magical people and places, and who
find a real live world of those same
characters in Glen, NH. Today, Story Land
still entertains young families and
children. The park has grown to include more
rides, more play areas, more shows, and more
characters of all kinds. At the same time,
the Story Land team has been careful to keep
the park from outgrowing the very people –
the very little people and their parents –
that Bob and Ruth dreamed about entertaining
over half a century ago when they were far
away from home. Kids have been playing at
Story Land happily ever after. (603) 383-4293

Mame's - This brick village
home was built by Dr. George Sanborn in
1825. It served as his private residence and
base for his medical practice. Mame’s
restaurant opened in 1978, and has been
under the current ownership since 1979. Over
the years, with the help of many local
craftsmen, extensive renovations and changes
have taken place. Everyone involved went to
great efforts to preserve the original
structure. Where this was not possible,
parts of the old were harvested for the new.
Where special touches were needed, local
artisans were called in. Many of the
architectural elements were specially
created, such as the wrought iron railings
and the signature arched window. The result
is simply spectacular. The ambiance created
within can be credited to the pride and
dedication of not only the owner, but also
the staff. From the wonderful greenery and
the wide pine boards, to the incredible
food, and the friendly hello, Mame’s is a
place you must visit.
